If you’ve never worked out or followed a diet before, or if you’ve done a thousand things but have never maintained long-term success, then Coaching is the right option for you. It may also be used as a kick-start for those who have been away from exercise for a while or want a more complete look at their healthy lifestyle, but this will require an interview first.

If you just need a fitness routine and some nutritional guidance to be successful, then Personalized Programming is the better option.

How does Coaching work?

If you think of Mr Myagi in the The Karate Kid (or any movie with an old, wise mentor) this is my version of coaching!

Consider me Mr. Miyagi and you the Karate Kid wanting to master the way of a healthy life. We will go through a process of “wax on, wax off” to build the foundations of health that will last the rest of your life!

(If you haven’t seen the movie, Mr Myagi (the mentor) gets Daniel (the student) to wax cars and paint fences as his first practice to learn Karate. Obviously Daniel is confused and angry because those have nothing to do with Karate. Yet in the end Daniel finds out that the hand movements of waxing a car and painting a fence are the same hand movements as blocking an attack in Karate)

In Coaching, the focus in on building foundations and and strong mindset that will helping during the ups and downs of your fitness journey. It’s not just about reps in the gym and what goes on your plate, but what types of movements (habits) you need to master the art of healthy living.

Just like the Karate Kid painted a fence to build his foundations of Karate, you will build discipline, consistency, and daily habits as your foundation of health.

The value of Coaching is in the support you get from weekly coaching calls, the accountability of daily contact with your mentor, and the focus not just one what to do to be successful but in HOW to do it.

That said, we will be working on all aspects of health, not just fitness and nutrition. Together we will find which areas of your life that will benefit you the most for health improvement.

In order to successfully achieve this, Coaching requires a 6 month commitment. The reason for 6 months is because change takes time. This is the process of building a foundation and it needs to be solid. The reason most people are not successful long-term is because they’ve never taken the time to build the foundation first.

Changing your habits and lifestyle is not an easy process and won’t happen overnight. This is a commitment to put in your reps and do the work, regardless of struggles along the way.

It is a commitment to yourself (with my support), to finally put in the work needed to make a permanent, lasting change.
